Overview: 

Providing affirmative care is critical to the safety of our clients. With this webinar, you will overcome the knowledge barrier, learn correct terminology, learn to avoid harm to transgender and non-binary clients, and start your journey to supporting gender-diverse clients.

At the end of this workshop participants will be able to:

  1. Learn and differentiate correct terms 
  2. Define transgender as an identity
  3. How to support someone when they come out

 

Speaker's Bio:

Shaina Singh, LCSW-S, is a licensed psychotherapist and a certified dating coach in Austin, TX. Her areas of passion at work are relationships and how one’s gender and sexual identities play a role in happy and fulfilling relationships. She believes that we all deserve to be in thriving and joyful partnerships. She is also a kink and poly affirming psychotherapist. She supports single folx navigate the complicated dating world and is intentional about how the modern dating world leaves very little space for marginalized groups to feel safe. Shaina celebrates folx for who they are and also how they want to be acknowledged and honored. Shaina is a committed ally to the LGBQIAPK2S+ and the Transgender community.
